Judicial Council Certification

At the Interpreter Training Group, we believe judicial council certification is an important measure of quality, accountability, and professional integrity. State approval demonstrates that a course has been reviewed to ensure it meets established continuing education standards for professional court interpreters.

Whenever required by a state's certifying authority, ITG obtains official approval before offering a course for continuing education credit. We are committed to developing educational programs that satisfy state certification requirements while providing practical, relevant instruction that interpreters can immediately apply in their professional practice.

As a matter of policy, ITG will only advertise or represent a course as approved for continuing education after certification has been granted by the appropriate state certifying authority. Approval status for each course is clearly identified so participants can register with confidence, knowing their continuing education requirements will be recognized by their certifying agency.

If a course has been submitted for approval but certification has not yet been granted, its status will always be clearly identified as "Pending." We believe transparency is essential, and participants should always know the approval status of a course before registering.

Our commitment is simple: 

When a course is promoted as approved, it has received the appropriate authorization from the applicable state certifying authority.
